This cabochon was created with porcelain clay in my studio and was formed specifically to be a cab, so there are no sharp edges. It is suitable for a solder finish.

It was first formed with clay, dried, fired, dipped into glaze, and then fired again to approximately 2300 degrees F. The finish is permanent and will not change with age.
